The second Sunday of Lent traditionally focuses on the Transfiguration of Jesus. After the first week’s desert and temptation, this Sunday offers a “mountaintop” glimpse of hope and divine glory.

Description (English): The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the anniversary of Our Lord’s birth on Christmas. Advent celebrations leading up to Christmas. The four weeks of Advent represent the following themes:

Week 1: Hope: Emphasizes the anticipation of the coming of Jesus Christ, symbolized by the first candle, often referred to as the "Prophet's Candle".

Week 2: Peace: Focuses on the peace that Jesus brings, symbolized by the second candle.

Week 3: Joy: Highlights the joy of the Christmas season, symbolized by the third candle.

Week 4: Love: Concludes with the theme of love, symbolized by the fourth candle, known as the "Angel's Candle".

Each week encourages reflection and preparation for the celebration of Christmas, inviting believers to deepen their faith and anticipation for the birth of Jesus.

தெளிவான கட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் வலுவான தன்னார்வத் தொண்டர்களின் ஆதரவுடன் ஃபெட்கானா தமிழ் விடுமுறை வேதாகமப் பள்ளி (வி.பி.எஸ்) அமைக்கப்பட்டது. குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் குடும்பங்களுக்கு ஒரு துடிப்பான, நன்கு ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்பட்ட கற்றல் சூழலை உருவாக்குதல். இந்த ஆண்டு, வட அமெரிக்கா முழுவதும் 73 தமிழ் மாணவர்கள் இந்த திட்டத்தின் மூலம் பயனடைந்துள்ளனர்.

FeTCANA Tamil VBS Summary

The FeTCANA Tamil Vacation Bible School (VBS) was organized with a clear structure and strong volunteer support, creating a vibrant, well-coordinated learning environment for children and families. This year, 73 Tamil students across North America have benefited from the program.

Class organization
  • Four class groups: Structured by age and learning needs to ensure focused, age-appropriate instruction.
Volunteer team
  • Teaching volunteers: 8 dedicated instructors led lessons, guided discussions, and supported student growth.
  • Technical support: 3 FeTCANA Board volunteers managed logistics and digital tools for smooth operations.
Parent interaction
  • Feedback collected: A Google Form was sent to parents and responses were received, offering insights for improvements and affirming program strengths.

This year’s Tamil VBS reflects FeTCANA’s commitment to language, faith, and cultural identity—thanks to structured classes, passionate volunteers, and active parent participation.
